4/5 Review: Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah Maclean

What a sweet, funny, romantic story! I absolutely loved this book, and it is definitely in my top 5. Had me hooked from the first scene. I will admit that initially I felt there are some very implausible moments, including the original premise of the plot, but the second time I read it, it seemed less fairy-tale-ish. KEEPER SHELF!! The humor in this novel is unparalleled in anything I have ever read. It reminded me of my four favorite classice movies by Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. He is incredibly…

Review: Never Judge a Lady by her Cover by Sarah MacLean

I’m one of the readers of this series who was completely blindsided by the revelation of Chase’s identity. After three previous books and many, many scenes where Chase was this mysterious figure who interfered over and again in the lives of the other owners of the Fallen Angel and who moved the members of the ton around like chess pieces to suit her needs and motives, I was a little shocked to find out it was indeed Georgiana, sister to the Duke of Leighton from Eleven Scandals to Win a Duke’s Heart. Lady Georgiana was just a 17-year-old girl who thought she was in love when she gifted her virginity to a man she hoped to spend the rest of her life with. Only, he had other ideas and left her pregnant and unwed. Ruined before her life really had a chance to begin. So she goes off to have her baby and is happy for a…
