Guest Review: Taming the Highland Bride by Lynsay Sands

Tracy’s review of Taming the Highland Bride (Devil of the Highlands #2) by Lynsay Sands She was ready to let her heart run wild . . . Merry Stewart has had enough! Enough of her brothers, whose behavior would make even the most improper lady blush. Enough of their Highland home, which would surely have fallen to ruin were it not for her. She dreams of escaping into the arms of her betrothed, Alexander d’Aumesbery;even though they haven’t yet met. But when they do, Merry is devastated. It seems he’s no better than the men in her family. So beautiful, so brazen . . . From the moment he meets Merry, Alexander is determined to make her his. Desperate to convince her he’s nothing like the members of her roguish clan, he will prove he is every bit the well-mannered gentleman. Yet, beneath it all beats a heart as intense…

The Highlander Takes a Bride by Lynsay Sands Book Three of the Highlander series Publisher: Avon Publication Date: July 28, 2015 Rating: 4 stars Source: eARC from Edelweiss ***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers*** Summary (from Goodreads): A bold, seductive laird meets his passionate match in a scintillating Highland romance from New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands… Sword fighting, swearing, and riding astride come naturally to Saidh Buchanan. Simpering and holding her tongue—definitely not. Raised alongside seven boisterous brothers, Saidh has little interest in saddling herself with a husband… until she glimpses the new Laird MacDonnell bathing naked in the loch. Though she’s far from a proper lady, the brawny Highlander makes Saidh feel every inch a woman. She has an angel’s looks, a warrior’s temper, and seeks out his kisses with wanton eagerness. Little wonder that Greer is intrigued by his…

The Countess by Lynsay Sands | Review

The Countess by Lynsay Sands | 2 Stars The Countess by Lynsay Sands Amazon | Barnes & Nobles The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily-ever-after . . . Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible enough to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sisters’ debuts as well. So she decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing’s happened . . . Until the real earl appears. Richard Fairgrave had every intention of confronting his villainous twin who had robbed him of his name and title . . . only to discover that he had died. Quietly assuming his identity, Richard must now deal with a maddening desire for his ravishing inherited “wife”— certainly a gold digger and possibly a murderess. And Christiana must deal with an…

REVIEW: THE IMMORTAL WHO LOVES ME

TITLE: THE IMMORTAL WHO LOVES ME AUTHOR: LYNSAY SANDS PUBLSHER:AVON PUBLISHED: February 24, 2015 SOURCE: EDELWEISS New York Times  and USA Today  bestseller Lynsay Sands continues her enormously popular vampire series starring the Argeneau family A few hours ago, Sherry Carne would have sworn that vampires didn’t exist. That’s before rogue immortals rampage through her store, leaving bloody chaos (literally) in their wake. The kicker comes when Sherry learns that one of the vamps on the bad guys’ trail may be her life mate. Her head says it’s impossible. The rest of her takes one look at Basileios Argeneau, and has much more interesting ideas. Whatever Basil expected in a life mate, funny, outspoken Sherry isn’t it. But mind-blowing chemistry and instinct don’t lie. They tell him something else too—that Sherry’s connection to the immortal world goes deeper than she knows. And that she’s in the kind of danger only Basil…

February Book Haul

This month I only picked up three books and they’re all from different authors. I usually pick up my monthly book hauls from the same author but because I haven’t had the best of luck with trying new authors and loving their series, I decided to do something different this month. So I grabbed two new authors and one I am 100% certain I will not regret. The Countess by Lynsay Sands On Dublin Street by Samantha Young The Master by Kresley Cole Lynsay Sands is a very popular author and I thought it was about time I gave her a try. So because I’m currently in a ‘historical romance’ kind of mood, I picked up The Countess. This story looks very interesting to say the least! I have never ever heard of Samantha Young before until my sister recommend The Hero to me. But because The Hero is another sexy billionaire story, I…

Giveaway: A KitchenAid Stand (Mixer) and Lynsay Sands!

To celebrate the 21st book in Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau series, The Immortal Who Loved Me, Avon asked if they could give away a 4.5 quart Kitchen Aid standing mixer here at the hot pink palace. Like I would say no to anything that involved the remote possibility of baked goods, right? Why baked goods? As Caro, the lovely publicists who came up with this buttery idea wrote to me, “Since the heroine, Sherry Carne, owns a kitchen goods store, I thought it’d be fun to give away a fancy KitchenAid stand mixer, because honestly, who doesn’t want one of those? It’s like the Cadillac of cookie equipment.” She’s not wrong – I have one, and I use it all the time. So let’s get to it, eh? The grand prize is an Ultra Power® Series 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer from KitchenAid, in the winner’s choice of color – and this thing…
